Dillon: “My Life Is Threatened”

Montserrado County Senator Abraham Darius Dillon, claimed is that his life is being threatened.

Dillion claimed also that his political rift with Labor Minister Cooper W. Kruah has intensified.

He raised the alarm over threats to his safety, attributing the escalating danger to political attacks from supporters of the opposition Movement for Democracy and Reconstruction (MDR), a party founded by Prince Y. Johnson (deceased).

Dillon said his routine oversight of the Ministry of Labor (MoL), especially regarding work permit enforcement, has been twisted into a false narrative, painting him as hostile toward Nimba County.

Despite his efforts to address administrative issues with Mr. Kruah, his inquiries have been misrepresented as an attack on the region.

The situation escalated when Kruah publicly accused Dillon of harboring bias against Nimba County, leading MDR supporters to spread harmful and inflammatory claims.

Dillon has been falsely accused by a authorities at MoL, mainly by an unnamed official of being responsible for the death of a prominent Nimba senator, a charge he described as “reckless and dangerous.”

Dillon believes these attacks are part of a coordinated effort to turn a political disagreement into a regional conflict with serious security implications.

He has meanwhile, called on the Senate to intervene, seeking clarification of the false allegations before they further threaten national unity, and escalate into violence.
