The Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Divine Intervention and Support Services Incorporated, Emmanuel Diabolo, has called on youths and business owners in Liberia to take full advantage of ongoing entrepreneurship training programs being held in Gbarnga, describing them as critical to national development and economic transformation.
Speaking to participants, Mr. Diabolo stressed that Liberia’s development agenda cannot succeed if young people remain without practical business skills and if the private sector continues to struggle with limited innovation and capacity.
He emphasized that entrepreneurship is no longer optional but essential for national progress.
According to him, the program was specifically designed to empower individuals, organizations, communities, and enterprises with the tools needed to build sustainable businesses.
He noted that many graduates from universities and colleges across Liberia enter the job market with academic qualifications but lack the practical knowledge required to start and manage successful businesses.
He warned that this skills gap continues to contribute to business failures among young entrepreneurs who attempt to establish startups without proper training in management, marketing, and financial planning.
“We must change the mindset from job seeking to job creation,” he stressed, urging young people to embrace entrepreneurship as a viable path to economic independence.
Diabolo also highlighted the importance of strengthening collaboration between training institutions and universities across the country.
He said such partnerships would ensure that graduates are not only academically prepared but also equipped with real-world business competencies that can help them compete in a challenging economic environment.
Participants enrolled in the program also shared positive feedback, noting that the training has reshaped their understanding of business operations.
Many admitted that their previous approaches to entrepreneurship were limited and often resulted in unsuccessful ventures.
However, they expressed optimism that the skills and knowledge gained from Divine Intervention and Support Services Incorporated would significantly improve their chances of success after completion of the program.
The initiative is being viewed as part of broader efforts to strengthen youth empowerment and stimulate small business growth in Liberia’s evolving economy.
