The incident, which occurred at the Bong County Health Team’s Office was a shocking event that brought several onlookers to the scene.
Officers of the Liberia National Police (LNP) Bong Detachment, has meanwhile initiated an investigation.
This followed the discovery of a lifeless body of an unidentified male in a vehicle at the Bong County Health Team’s office in Phebe.
The grim find was reported early Tuesday, May, 13, morning by health staffs arriving for work. Upon approaching a Corolla Taxi parked on the premises, they detected an unusual odor, prompting further inspection.
“Tragically, the body of an unidentified male was located slumped in the front seat,” one eyewitness confirmed.
Health officials, who swiftly responded to the scene with some law enforcement, secured the area while investigators began the process of collecting evidence.
The circumstances surrounding the death and the identity of the deceased, according to eyewitnesses, remain unclear up to press time last night.
The body has since been transported to the St. Moses Funeral Home in Gbarnga for examination as police continues their inquiries into the situation.
Authorities are urging anyone with information that could assist in the investigation to come forward and contact the nearest police station.
