DDC Chair Embraces Rep. Toles’ Leadership

Montserrado County Electoral District #8 District Development Council (DDC) Chairman, Patrick P. Karmo has, expressed confidence in the leadership ability of Representative Prince A. Toles. The DDC Chairman in an interview with journalists on August 30, 2024 in Jallah Town Community in District #8 stated that since Representative Toles took over as Representative he has been exhibiting good leadership style. DDC Chairman Karmo informed this paper that Representative Toles has regularly been consulting them about happenings unfolding at the Capitol Building. According to him, the lawmaker means well for the citizens of Electoral District #8. DDC Chair Karmo further said the citizens of District #8 made the right decision for electing Representative Toles to represent them at the legislature. He described representative Toles the best lawmaker they have had since the history of District #8. DDC Chair Karmo informed the public that Representative Toles went to the Capitol Building to serve his people, and not for enrichment. According to him, Representative Toles believes in tangibles and not talking much.  The DDC Chair Karmo added that the lawmaker doors have always been opened to them whenever there are problems in the district. He stated that in less than six (6) months’ period at the Capitol Building, the lawmaker has been able to secure one bus and an ambulance for the district.   DDC Chair Karmo also noted that their lawmaker is a people’s -centered leader. He stated that Representative Toles in their belief will do lots of things for the citizens of District #8.  He used the occasion to call on citizens across the district to rally around Representative Toles in order to move the district developmental agenda forward. DDC Chair Karmo further called on the citizens not to allow themselves to be used by those distractors who don’t want to see good things happening within the district.  He disclosed that recently, the lawmaker awarded One Hundred Ten (110) scholarships to the district. Chairman Karmo also disclosed that recently the lawmaker was able to sponsor Eleven (11) communities’ elections and spent the amount of Seven Hundred Thirty-three Thousand Liberian Dollars plus toward the process.  He stated that Representative Toles is the first lawmaker in the history of District #8 to sponsor elections. The DDC Chair Karmo also wants for the lawmaker to keep working in collaboration with them for the betterment of District #8.
