In a heartwarming display of community spirit, Alexander B. Cummings, the political leader of the opposition Alternative National Congress (ANC), attended a children’s Christmas party on Thursday, December 25, 2025.
On his joyful tour with his entourage, Cummings drew joy and festive cheers from the predominately talented youth.
He underscored the importance of education, and a nurturing environment for the young people.
“We care for you; we love you, and therefore, we want to create an environment where you can go to school, learn, and have a meal every day,” he told the youth, thus reinforcing the message that the children represent the future.
The celebration held at ANC’s Headquarters in Congo Town, featured a variety of activities, including sharing of food, baked by playing of music, mainly Liberians latest releases, and festive games, creating a joyful atmosphere for those at the occasion.
ABC, as Mr. Cummings is fondly called by his followers, took a moment and reflected on the significance of Christmas, when he spoke on the importance of the birth of Jesus Christ as a time of “giving and expressing gratitude to God for life.”
He meanwhile adorned the children to cherish the season, and enjoy the festivities, saying: “Thank you! God bless you all!!”
Cummings’ visit to the children party not only brightened the day for many, but also served as a reminder of the importance of community support, and the collective responsibility to nurture the next generation.
As Cummings addressed the gathering, engaged with the children, he reminded the young ones to be good all the year round, not just on Christmas.
