Commerce Needs To Enforce New Guidelines For Importing Essential Commodities OVER

THE YEARS, Liberia has remained a dumping ground for sub-standard goods for public consumption, which consequences are negatively far-reaching. THESE COMMODITIES RANGE   from rice importation to other food items and electronic appliances, to name a few. WE CANNOT OVERSTATE   the mounting public outcries on a daily basis due to the negative effects Liberians face nowadays in the wake of the presence of sub-standards goods and services in our public space. OUR GOVERNMENT OWES   it to the public to ensure a reliable redress to these unwholesome commodities that continue to pour into the country at the detriment of the citizenry. WE WANT TO  encourage the Ministry of Commerce and Industry to be very resolute in its latest drive  by announcing new administrative guidelines for the importations of  basic commodities on the Liberian market to rid sub-standard goods and services in this country. AS THE MINISTRY   has released, we realistically want to see the administrative guidelines on the importations of rice, frozen food and electronics and electrical devices being enforced without favor or fear. LET THESE NEW   dimensions not be mere policy-driven measures to impress or raise the hope of the public and then at the end the momentum would die a natural death. IN OUR CANDID opinion, Liberians deserve quality goods and services, bearing in mind that toxic food items and life-threatening electrical appliances have become death traps for Liberians nowadays. ON THIS NOTE,   the new administrative business guidelines for the importation of essential goods and services on the Liberian market; which the Ministry of Commerce and Industry has announced must be adhered to and enforced to the letter.
