Cllr. Sirleaf Identifies With 2 Hospitals By Yassah J. Wright

A renowned Liberian lawyer has identified with several patients and new born babies and their mothers at two of Bong County’s biggest hospitals.

CLLR. Alice Sirleaf who is the head of Jury Management in the country, distributed sanitary pads, including baby diapers and towels.

More than 200 babies’ mothers and pregnant women benefited from the distributed items.

The materials which were packaged in different bags and individually distributed, brought smiles on the faces of the beneficiaries.

At the distribution centers in the courtyard of the Phebe Hospital over the weekend, Sirleaf expressed gratitude as she identified with patients and new born babies’ mothers.

The lawyer identified with the hospital as parts of activities commemorating her 50th birth anniversary.

She said it was at the Phebe Hospital that she received all her childhood vaccinations.

The female learned lawyer added that it was an extreme joy returning to celebrate her natal day with the hospital and patients, especially babies’ mothers and those women who are pregnant.

Following the Phebe Hospital’s ceremony, the lawyer later proceeded to the C. B. Dunbar Hospital in Gbarnga City, where she was born in 1975.

Accompanied by several lawyers, Sirleaf also distributed similar items to new born babies and pregnant women at the C. B Dunbar Hospital where an official birthday celebration was hosted.

She received a rousing welcome at the two health facilities with many extending gratitude to her for choosing to celebrate with the two health facilities.

At the same C.B Dunbar Hospital, Sirleaf spoke of her impression with the level of improvements at the facility, adding: “this facility was not at the standard it was when my mom born me here.”

It was based on the level of improvement she saw that gave rise to praising the administration for the sacrifices they are making in saving lives.

  1. B. Dunbar Hospital Medical Director, David Mulbah, a medical doctor, extended gratitude to Cllr. Sirleaf for returning to the hospital where she was born with at least some gift items.

Considering the many challenges faced by baby mothers and pregnant women, Dr. Mulbah described the donated items as lots to the hospital and the beneficiaries.

He called on others to emulate Clrr. Sirleaf’s good example.

Beneficiaries at the two health facilities were also filled with gratitude for Cllr. Sirleaf.
