Criminal Court ‘A’ resident Judge, Roosevelt Z. Willie, has issued a Subpoena duces tecum on the Clar Hope Foundation.

The Court wants the Foundation to hand over all documents, including financial records, about a multi-purpose complex built in Marshall, Margibi County.

The complex is owned by former First Lady Clar Marie Weah.

The Foundation is now being investigated by the government established Assets Recovery and Property Retrieval Taskforce (AREPT).

The investigation is about possible corruption, including the misused of public money.

The court also wants the former First Lady to explain how the complex was built, and where the money came from, “because it is a private property built on several acres of land.”

In the writ, it states that, “you are hereby commanded to subpeona the management of Clar Hope Foundation by and thru its general manager, Jackson P. Gbarmie, deputies and all acting under his authorities of Marshall road, Margibi County, to appear before this honorable court on Friday, January 23, 2026, at the precise hour of 10 a.m. to produce copies of funds received from individuals, institutions of government for the construction of Clar Hope Foundation.

The court added that those institutions that made donations to the construction of Clar Hope Foundation, and amount contributed, amount presented to the Foundation contributions, location, telephones numbers and addresses.

“You are further commanded to make your official returns to the office of the clerk of Criminal Court ‘A’ with your signature endorsed on the back of the original.”

Also, stating their manner and kind of service, and to inform the respondent that upon their/it failure to adhere to this subpoena duces tecum.

Meanwhile, the Clar Hope Foundation is expected to appear in court on January 23, 2026.
