The opposition Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC) USA, DMV Chapter, has elected a new corps off leadership.
Those elected have already been inducted during its 2025 Convention, held in Maryland, USA.
The event brought together key members and supporters of CDC as they chart a new course ahead of the 2029 general and presidential elections.
Prince Sheriff, the chair of the new team, promised “people-centered leadership.”
Following his election and induction, Sheriff pledged to lead a “robust and people-centered” administration focused on impact, accountability and unity among CDCians at home and abroad.
Sheriff said his leadership will actively engage the Boakai administration in constructive criticisms and advocacy for “Liberia’s underrepresented citizens.”
Sheriff added: “This leadership will go beyond all odds by ensuring that Mr. Boakai’s administration deliver on its promises to the Liberian people.”
He then underscored the importance of unity in the party diaspora chapters, assuring members that his team would reach out to people in all communities to rebuild solidarity, and strengthen support for former President George Weah potential 2029 re-election bid.
Success Dennis, who delivered one of the convention speeches, urged partisans to remain true to the CDC’s founding values of service, humility, and transformation.
Mr. Dennis is one of prominent members of the CDC-USA DMV Chapter.
“The CDC has come to serve, not to be served; to build, not to destroy; to give hope, not to take it away.”
Dennis spoke of Liberia being at the crossroads where the people are watching, while history is listening.
He called for renewed unity and purpose within the opposition, reminding delegates that the CDC’s foundation rests on principles, not personalities.
Others elected and inducted officials are: William Jarkloh, Vice Chairman for Administration, Dorothy Moore Dadzie, Vice Chair for Operations, Phillip Totaye, Secretary General, Otaka Neewary, Treasurer, Mercy Suah, Chairlady, Women Wing and Prophetess Princess Johnson, Chaplain.
