The Press Union of Liberia (PUL) Maryland County Chapter, has officially ushered in a new leadership team.
Team brought journalist Michael D.K. Wroh, as a county coordinator.
The induction ceremony was held in the Pleebo City Hall on Monday, September 16, bringing together local authorities, youth groups, women’s organizations, members of high school press clubs and the broader media community.
Those inducted to work with Wroh, include: Moses Geplay, Co-coordinator; Moses J. Dawioe, Secretary-General; Patrick Donyean, Assistant Secretary-General and Prosper Gray, Treasurer.
The induction was officiated by Maryland County Superintendent Henry Cole, who assured the media community of the county administration unwavering support.
Cole described the press as an important partner in development and governance.
He pledged to work closely with the new PUL leadership to strengthen media operations in the region.
Cole spoke of the critical role journalists play in shaping public discourse and advancing democracy.
He urged the new PUL team to uphold professionalism, and promised to facilitate a conducive environment for media practice in the county.
