Boakai Extolled for Appointing Stephen Mambu LISA Director General

Some employees of the Liberia Standard Authority (LISA) have extolled President Joseph Nyuma Boakai for appointing Stephen Yougar Mambu as  new Director-General of the institution.

The LISA employees told this paper over the weekend in Monrovia that the appointment of Mr. Mambu by President Boakai is welcoming and in the right direction.

They stated that the new Standard Authority head is best suited to steer the affairs of the institution for the next four (4) years. According to them, Mr. Mambu understands the inner workings of the Liberia Standard Authority (LISA).

The workers stated that Director General Mambu has vast experience in running the affairs of the institution. They further informed this paper that Mr. Mambu was trained in that area about the operations of the standard lab by international partners.

According to them, the newly appointed LISA Director General was the first laboratory technician when the institution was under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry. They explained that since the institution became Liberia Standard Authority.

Mr. Mambu has been the second Director General to be appointed by President Boakai. According to them, newly appointed LISA Director General will properly administer the affairs of the agency as a breakthrough in an effort to protect the country against the infiltration of substandard goods in Liberia’s trade and commerce.
