Presidential Press Secretary Kula Fofana has underscored President Joseph Nyuma Boakai’s strong commitment to see Diaspora Liberians play an active role in the governance process of the Country.  Presidential Press Secretary Fofana told Executive Mansion reporters that President Boakai has a strong interest in said direction evidence of already having a Diaspora office, which is now doing active engagement with the Diaspora community. “The contribution of Diaspora community to our developmental aspect is key, ” she re-emphasized.  Speaking at a regular press briefing Friday, Madam Fofana disclosed the plan of Diaspora Liberia annual return conference. The planned conference is expected to be the first of its kind under this government. Plans, she indicated, are already in the making for said national gathering, Madam Fofana told Executive Mansion reporters.  She also stated that the annual gathering will also see the one Liberia Peace and Reconciliation Dialogue as well as the Heritage awards respectively which is schedule for December of 2024. Engaging and encouraging early childhood education is also key; she emphasized. Madam Fofana pointed out the importance of Diaspora role in the forward march of the country.
