The Bong County Health Team (BCHT) earlier on Wednesday, May 26, broke grounds to construct a six-room self-contained staff quarters for the Kpayah/Jenepleta Clinic in Behquelleh Clan, Jorquelleh Electoral District #3.
The project, when completed, will improve healthcare delivery and provide comfortable accommodation for medical workers serving at the clinic and surrounding communities.
Bong County Health Officer, Dr. Daanue Paye Zwuogbae and the county Health Services Administrator, Sam T. G. Siakor, led the groundbreaking ceremony.
The event was well attended by the District Commissioner, Madam Fatu Benneh, and Eldorado Cammue, Chief of Office Staff in the Office of Representative J. Marvin Cole.
The county health authorities described the project as a major step to strengthen the healthcare system, especially in rural communities where housing for health workers remains a challenge.
The construction of the staff quarters will attract and retain qualified medical personnel, thereby improving access to quality healthcare services for residents.
The project is fully funded through the government national budget, and will be carried out by Success Construction Company.
