Senator Numeneh T.H. Bartekwa’s county-wide development tour, has made visible strides in improving education, youth engagement and community infrastructure in Grand Kru County.
Day one of the tour showcased ongoing projects that promise to strengthen local development and enhance opportunities for residents.
From Sawken to Behwean, the senator inspected a series of projects, including the construction of a six-classroom building at Sawken Elementary School, expected to reduce overcrowding and improve learning conditions.
At Behwan Youth Center, young people were assured of safe spaces for learning, leadership programs, and extracurricular activities, while the Behwan Women’s Center promises skills training and social empowerment for women.
In Garraway Down Beach, another youth center project was reviewed, reinforcing the senator’s focus on creating productive spaces for the youth.
A groundbreaking ceremony for a town hall in Trehnbo Town, valued at US$68,000, further highlights the administration’s commitment to strengthen civic infrastructure. Plans for a Youth Center in Newanken were also announced, aimed at promoting active youth participation in community development.
Local residents and community leaders praised the senator for prioritizing projects that directly impact education, women, and youth.
