Grand Kru County Senator, Numene T. H. Bartekwa, has

positioned the county in such a way to benefit from international humanitarian collaboration.

Bartekwa’s gesture comes in the wake of consistent calls for improved healthcare and educational services.

Through his engagement, Legacy Hands of Hope visited Liberia and assessed potential areas of support in the county, and at the University of Liberia.

Due to the schedule, members of the delegation were limited in movement, they conducted an on-site assessment of the university clinic and delivered medical supplies to strengthen service delivery.

On that basis, Sen. Bartekwa stressed the need for developments to go beyond “symbolic gestures.”

“Our focus is sustainability. We want partnerships that produce long-term improvements in healthcare and education for our people.”

The organization confirmed its intention to return to Liberia for a comprehensive need assessment in Grand Kru County, signaling an expected structured development partnership.

The initiative reflects a growing trend among lawmakers to seek international collaboration to address local challenges.
