AFL Condemns, Rejects Blog

The Armed Forces of Liberia (AFL) has categorically condemned and also rejected the recent blog post (Political Flomo). The post was accompanied by political statements and featured the image of Major (Dr.) Albertha Clark-Kollie, Commander,14 Military Hospital.

The AFL, meanwhile reaffirms its commitment to remaining apolitical (none political institution).

“This portrayal attempts to suggest that the AFL is involved in political matters, which is not the case,” the release said.

The AFL: “We want to clarify that our officers, including the Commander of 14 Military Hospital, Major (Dr.) Albertha Clark-Kollie, does not engage in political discourse.”

According to the release, Major (Dr.) Clark, is a professional medical officer dedicated to serving the health needs of Liberians. Any portrayal suggesting otherwise is misleading and does not reflect the values and principles of the Army.”

The AFL, meanwhile, said it appreciates the public understanding and support “as we continue to uphold our commitment to neutrality and service to the nation.”

The AFL release was signed by Lt/Col. Stephen Tor Tarplah, Chief of Public Affairs.
