The wheels of justice in Bong County are turning stronger and faster as the Ninth Judicial Circuit Court, under the dynamic leadership of the Trial Judges, has successfully convened its second Judicial Retreat, centered on the theme: “Promoting Access to Justice in Bong County.”

The event marked a major milestone in the judiciary’s continued efforts to bring justice closer to the people — ensuring that every citizen, regardless of status, can experience fairness, transparency, and equal protection under the law.

The retreat attracted an impressive gathering of stakeholders and development partners, including  Eugine J.M. Kollie, Representative of Bong County;  Asa David Chon, Country Director of ForumCiv Liberia; Senior Officers of the Liberia National Police Bong Detachment; Legal Practitioners, and members of civil society organizations — all standing together in the spirit of partnership and reform.

Delivering special remarks, Representative Kollie hailed the Judiciary for its proactive leadership, describing the retreat as “a transformative step that strengthens the foundation of peace and rule of law in Bong County.” He further pledged his continued support to initiatives that make justice accessible and credible for all Liberians.

Also speaking, Mr.  Chon of ForumCiv Liberia commended the Judiciary’s commitment to partnership and accountability, emphasizing that sustainable justice requires constant collaboration between the courts, law enforcement, and civil society actors.

The Judiciary leadership expressed gratitude to all participants for their engagement and reaffirmed their dedication to deepening judicial reform, improving case management systems, and ensuring timely justice delivery in all parts of the county.

As the retreat concluded, one message stood clear — Bong County’s Judiciary is not standing still; it is moving forward with purpose and passion. With continued collaboration among government institutions, partners, and community stakeholders, access to justice is no longer a distant dream, but a growing reality in Liberia’s heartland.
