A total of 47 applicants recently underwent equipment testing in Maryland County.

The exercise is part of preparations for the deployment of yellow machines to Grand Kru County.

The assessment was conducted to evaluate the competence and operational skills of prospective operators, who will be responsible for handling the heavy-duty equipment earmarked for road rehabilitation and infrastructure development projects.

The exercise meanwhile, attracted applicants from different communities.

It underscored the strong interest among local residents in contributing to ongoing development efforts.

Those who successfully meet the required standards for the exercise, are expected to play a key role that would improve road connectivity, and support infrastructure expansion.

The anticipated deployment of the yellow machines has generated optimism among residents, many of whom believe the initiative will improve access to communities, facilitate economic activities and address longstanding transportation challenges.

Officials say, the testing process forms part of efforts to ensure that only qualified and capable operators are entrusted with the equipment, thereby promoting safety, efficiency and the successful implementation of road projects.

The deployment of the machines is expected to mark another important step to improve infrastructure and enhance development opportunities for the locals.
