Authorities at the Liberia Drug Enforcement Agency (LDEA) arraigned four officers the Agency recently terminated their services.
The dismissed officers were on May 5, 2026, forwarded to the Ministry of Justice for criminal prosecution.
They meanwhile appeared on Wednesday, May 20, at the 13th
Judicial Circuit Court in Margibi County.
LDEA confirmed that four dismissed officers that were previously assigned at the Robert International Airport (RIA).
The officers were dismissed following a “full scale investigations” the Agency Board of Internal Inquiry and Professional Standards Division, conducted into their alleged involvement in “tampering with fruit of the crime” (cocaine) that were arrested from defendant Quita Dolo on July 12, 2025. They were on trial for “drug trafficking charges.”
The LDEA maintains a strict zero-tolerance policy against corruption, misconduct, and any criminal act that compromises national security and public confidence.
The Agency emphasizes that no officer is above the law and remains fully committed to transparency, accountability, and the rule of law.
The dismissed officers are; Joe Logan, former Commander, (RIA) Abdullai Sheriff, Chief of Operations, Lovetee Flowers, Dept. Chief of Operations, and Menkpapuo Duo, Operatives.
Meanwhile, the LDEA continues to closely monitor the matter, and will fully cooperate with the Ministry of Justice throughout the prosecution process.
