ArcelorMittal Liberia (AML) has marked a major milestone in its commitment to national capacity building with the graduation of 32 Liberian employees.
The employees graduated from the SUCCEED-1 Leadership Training and Talent Acceleration Program (TAP) in Buchanan, Grand Bassa County.
The ‘intensive’ program equips participants with essential leadership, professional, and digital skills.
It was aimed at preparing Liberian staff for higher responsibilities across AML’s operations.
Graduates successfully completed the training, while managing demanding work schedules and personal commitments, a feat the company described as a clear demonstration of discipline, resilience, and determination.
AML Chief Executive Officer, Michiel Van Der Merwe, congratulated the participants. Merwe urged them to translate their new skills into tangible results that will strengthen the company’s operational performance.
He encouraged the graduates to apply their training in leadership, stakeholder engagement, and innovation to help drive excellence and long-term growth within AML.
“Together, we are building a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and high performance.”
AML reaffirmed that developing Liberian talent remains at the heart of its corporate vision, stressing that investment in people is a long-term strategy for sustainable growth and national empowerment.
The company expressed confidence that the SUCCEED-1 graduates will play a key role in shaping the future of AML, as they step forward as part of a growing generation of Liberian leaders within the organization.
