Authorities at the Ministry of Youth and Sports, have with immediate effect, suspended three key officials.
The suspended trios are Wilfred Payne, director, Hamilton Faryah, finance officer and Kenneh Lawson, admissions officer.
They remained suspended pending the outcome of an internal investigation, which is expected to conclude within one month.
The Ministry is yet to provide specific allegations or reasons for the suspension.
In its official communication, the Ministry said, the suspensions underscore its “commitment to accountability, transparency, and the effective delivery of technical and vocational education services.” MVTC is one of flagship institutions for youth empowerment.
The Ministry has meanwhile, appointed interim leadership, including Alieu Kemokai, acting director for technical and vocational education (TVET), Cyrus Zizi, acting director, and
Kaema Jones, acting administrator.
