More than 200 commercial motorcyclists in Maryland County, have benefited from a one-day road safety training.

The training aimed at promoting responsible riding, and reduce accidents.

The training was organized by the National Road Safety Secretariat of Liberia in partnership with the Ministry of Transport. It was held recently in Pleebo.

Participants received practical lessons on the usage and understanding of traffic signs, safe overtaking, and proper road conduct as well as held discussions on the dangers of overloading and reckless driving.

Acting Road Safety Secretariat Coordinator, Amos S. Subah, described the event as part of a nationwide awareness to reduce the high rate of road accidents, particularly among motorcyclists.
