In Sinoe County, a year-old baby girl is said to have been tempered with ‘through play.’ According to a report, the baby was left in the care of two small boys, whose ages are about eight years.
Report quoting a relative to the family says the baby was allegedly tempered with by the two minors, who she was left in their care while the grandmother was attending to some house chores.
Other accounts say, the mother of the infant left the child with her grandma and went to school.
When the mother returned from school, the two boys had reportedly taken advantage of the infant by carrying her under a breadfruit tree where they allegedly tempered with her.
Under the tree, it was reported that the boys underdressed the child to the point where they tempered with her. It was not clear up to press time last night whether the ‘boys’ used their fingers or other things on the child.
The child was discovered bleeding from her private part when the mother attempted bathing her while she was crying uncontrollably.
In the state of the confusion, the mother rushed the child to the nearby health center in Juarzon, but health workers there transferred the case to the FJ Grant Hospital in Greenville for medical attention.
As a follow-up, the officer in charge of the hospital in Greenville, Zubah Zawu, confirmed from a medical examination that the child was “seriously tempered with.”
Meanwhile, police assigned at the Juarzon Bilibokree checkpoint, have taken charge of matter, while family members are reportedly praying for the child to survive the ordeal.
