150 LNP Officers Attend Crime Control Training In China

The Liberia National Police (LNP) has dispatched the first batch of 15 officers from the Form Police Unit (FPU) to China  to attend a specialized crime control training.

Speaking Monday, October 28, 2024, during the departure ceremony held at the LNP Headquarters in Monrovia, the Deputy Inspector General of Police, William Mulbah, noted that the training will help officers improve working skills.

“Trainings is necessary, we hope that your return will be a great help to the Liberian people because it will help shape your skills and enable you to perform rightly in the discharge of your duties,” Deputy IG Mulbah added.

Meanwhile, he urged the officers to be very obedient and law abiding, stressing that any misbehavior from them will reflect directly on the government and the state.

At the same time, Mulbah encouraged the officers to pay attention to their training as they will come back and impact others, adding that the more training the officers get, the more stable they will become and perform professionally.

He then applauded the Chinese government for helping them in so many ways, stressing that apart from the training, they have also provided logistics, built their facility and are looking forward to more.

The Deputy IG mentioned that government is continuity, explaining that the process which started in 2019, will also take 15 persons to China for three weeks, while the next batch will be leaving for China in 2025.
