15 Years Of Existence: Proudly Making It

110

Today, November 10 marks the In Profile Daily 15 years of existence amidst challenges, successes and present day uncertainties.  The paper was founded in 2008 as a 20-page entertainment colored tabloid newspaper, and  eventually the media outlet morphed into a vibrant daily that  won the Press Union of Liberia’s awards twice as ‘Best Paper’ of the year, back-to-back for its robust reportage. However, today, in the wake of economic and other challenges, the In Profile, like most media outlets facing prevailing challenges, proudly continues the work started by the likes of Sam Van Kessely (may his soul rest in peace), D. Sonpon Weah, Edwin Benson, Keith Morris, Nicholas Dennis, Maravia Reid Nicholas, Rosetta Saye-Toway, Gifty Paye, Alicemae Wellington, Jimmy Karpee, Thomas Johnson, Victor Garnett, Mulbah Scott Flomo, Samuel Kpeyou, Dweh Nimely, Cyrus McGee, Frederick Gaye, plus many, many other dedicated, hardworking and pioneering folks. As the journey continues under the managerial and editorial leadership of Barbara Snyder, Lewis Glay, Martha Akorsah-Robinson, Alvin Winpea, Macpherson Marbiah, Ivan G. Yorsee and others, the In Profile will continue to be truly robust, independent and unbiased in its reportage. As it celebrates its 15th anniversary in quietude, the Management of In Profile said it remains grateful to the general public, particularly its clients, business partners and readership for their level of cordiality exhibited over the years. The IP Management has at the same time assured its unwavering commitment to ensuring that the voices of the voiceless are heard through the paper, aimed at fostering participatory democracy, good governance, transparency and accountability in Liberia and beyond. The Management has also used the opportunity to hail all its employees, past and present, for being focused and dedicated to keeping the paper on the newsstand.
